Since 1909, your Undercliff Volunteer Fire Company has been providing fire and rescue protection for your community, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This has been made possible by your generous financial support, since we receive no direct tax monies.  Once again we are asking for your help so we can continue to provide your home and / or business with the best possible emergency fire and communication response system available.

The Undercliff Volunteer Fire Company is an all volunteer fire company.  In 2007 we responded to 225 emergency calls donating thousands of hours helping people in their time of need.  With the rising cost of equipment, utilities, fuel, insurance, and training of personnel, many volunteer fire companies are facing the grim reality of having to close their doors permanently.  In fact, inPennsylvania alone, over 500 volunteer fire companies have disbanded leaving their communities with little or no fire and rescue services.  We rely on your donations to prevent this from happening in our community.

This past year we  replaced the non-skid surface on our engine room floor to prevent personal injury to our firefighters at a cost of $24,000. Over $2,000 is needed to outfit each firefighter with a helmet, bunker gear, boots and gloves.
