At 14:19 on
Monday, July 28, Station 264 along with 261 Rescue 3, 149 Rescue 1, and 325 Fire
Police were dispatched for a vehicle into a tree with unknown injuries and one
person still inside the vehicle in the area of 1919 Allison Drive in Shaler
Township. (264's District). Shaler EMS arrived on scene and reported one
vehicle into a truck and that a male was self extricated. They also stated
that there was no need for fire units and that EMS could continue in
non-emergency. Per their report, all fire units went back into service at
14:22.

At 17:26 on Friday, July 25, Station 264 along with 261
Engine 1, 149 Engine 1, 262 Truck, 102 RIT, and 325 Fire Police were dispatched
for an oven fire at 1907 Shaler Drive in Shaler Township. (264's
District). At 17:29, Shaler PD arrived on scene confirming an oven
fire. 264 Assistant arrived on scene at 17:30 and reported smoke showing
from the exterior. Station 260 was dispatched for assistance at
17:33. 264 Chief arrived on scene and assumed command. The fire had
been extinguished by 264 Assistant and 264 Chief requested all units come in
non-emergency at 17:34. The gas main was also shut off and 264 Chief
requested Dominion Peoples gas company to respond and check the residence ad the
main before turning it back on. Units on scene also checked for extension
and then the air quality in the house for the residents. The scene
was placed under control and all units were returned in service at 17:57.

At 13:48 on Thursday, July 24, Station 264 along with 149
Engine 1 were dispatched for a residential fire alarm activation at 107 Lehr
Avenue in Shaler Township. (264's District). 264 Chief and Assistant
responded to the scene. Shaler PD arrived on scene at 13:56 and reported
nothing showing from the exterior and that the fire units could slow their
response. 264 Chief reported that it was burnt food at 13:57. All
units were back in service at 14:07.

At 07:44 on Wednesday, July 23, Station 264 along with
Stations 261, 149, 262, 102 RIT, and 325 Fire Police were dispatched for
reported carpet on fire inside of a residential structure at 1114 Orvis Avenue
in Shaler Township. (264's District). Shaler PD found carpet smoldering as
they were out trying to serve a warrant. 264 Chief and Assistant arrived
on scene and 264 Chief had command. He reported a smoke condition in the
residence and that he had extinguished the fire. He requested all units
disregard with the exception of 264 Engine for ventilation. Shaler PD
placed one person under arrest. All 264 units went back into service at
08:03.

14:46 on Sunday, July 20, 264 Truck along with Station 261, 164 Engine 1, 247
Truck, and 149 RIT were dispatched for a residential structure fire assignment
for a tree and live wires into a residential structure at West Sutter Road and
Herron Lane in Shaler Township. (261's District). At 14:49, 261 Assistant
arrived on scene and reported a two story wood framed structure and that a large
tree took out sides C and D of the structure and that live wires were
down. Fire units were requested to respond non-emergency by Shaler
PD. All units were returned in service at 15:05.

Sunday, July 20, Station 264 was dispatched for a special assignment requested
by Shaler PD at 1413 Mount Royal Blvd in Shaler Township. (264's
District). 264 Engine and Squad responded and were back in
service at 12:11.

At 19:28 on Saturday, July 19, Station 264 along with 261
Rescue 3, 149 Rescue 1, and 325 Fire Police were dispatched for a motor vehicle
accident involving pedestrians with minor injuries in the 1700 block of Mount
Royal Blvd in Shaler Township. (264's District). Also a report of kids
running towards Etna on Mount Royal and that one was bleeding. 264 Captain
arrived on scene and reported that juveniles fled the scene and that there was
no need for the fire department. All units were back in service at
19:31.

At 15:20
on Friday, July 18, 264 Truck along with Station 261 and 164 Engine 1 were
dispatched for a commercial fire alarm activation at the Mount Royal Cemetery,
2700 Mount Royal Blvd, in Shaler Township. (261's District). A few moments
after dispatch, proper code was received on scene. Workers triggered the
alarm by accident. The alarm company requested a cancel of the fire
units. After confirmation on the false alarm, all units were returned in
service at 15:27.

10:28 on Friday, July 18, Station 264 along with 261 Rescue 3, 149 Rescue 1, and
325 Fire Police were dispatched for a motorcycle into a parked truck with
injuries at Elm Avenue and Glenn Avenue in Shaler Township. (264's
District). Multiple callers reporting a 20 year old male with a head
injury and a 22 year old male complaining of road rash. At 10:31, Shaler
PD arrived on scene and requested 1 fire unit to respond non-emergency for
containment and Shaler EMS for 2 injuries on scene. 264 Chief arrived on
scene and had command. After clean-up of the scene, all units were
returned in service at 10:55.

At 21:42 on Tuesday, July 15, 264 Engine along with Station
149, 260 Truck, 191 Truck, and 102 RIT were dispatched for an unknown type of
fire in the 100 Block of Vista Street in the Borough of Etna. (149's
District). PD arrived on the scene and reported that they could not find
anything in the area and requested all units slow their response. At
21:47, 149 Assistant requested that all units with the exception of 149 Rescue
disregard, and that 149 Rescue would investigate. They reported it to be a
recreational fire and went back into service a short time later.

11:46 on Tuesday, July 15, Station 264 along with Station 262 were dispatched for a reported
tractor-trailer on fire in front of 815 Butler Street in Shaler Township, A
Advantage Fuels. (262's District). Multiple callers reported a semi on
fire causing a traffic problem. 264 Assistant arrived on scene at 11:51
and reported that the truck was smoking but it was not on fire.
There was a possible leak somewhere on the truck and that 262 could
send a unit non-emergency to handle it. 262 Captain asked 264
Assistant if they did need to role their Engine. 264 Assistant said that
it wouldn't be necessary. All units then went back into service at
11:52.

At 22:50 on Wednesday, July 9, 264 Truck along with Station
149, 260 Engine, 191 Truck, and 102 RIT were dispatched for a strong odor of
kerosene in the area of 91 Dewey Street in the Borough of Etna. (149's
District). All 264 units responded to the scene and some 264 units were
ordered to mask up to investigate. 149 Assistant had command. 260
units were ordered to search with meters in the area on Wendelin Street.
They also searched in the creek area. At 23:00, 149 Assistant requested
all units no the on road to stand-by in station. 149 reported that they
could smell the odor coming all the way down from their station. 260 Chief
reported smelling it in the area of Jack Sullivan Chevrolet. 149 Engine
had a strong odor in the back alley behind all of the houses. Residents at
89 Dewey Street and 85 Dewey Street opened up their garages for units to check
and nothing was found on the meters there. At 23:14, 149 Assistant
terminated command and put all units back in service, as nothing was found on
any meters. All 264 units were back in service at
23:25.

Just after 20:00
on Wednesday, July 9, 264 Engine along with Station 149, 260 Truck, 191 Truck,
and 102 RIT were dispatched for a possible residential structure fire in the
rear of 70 High Street in the Borough of Etna. (149's District).
Sharpsburg PD reported smoke coming from the rear of the residence.
Shaler PD 2163 arrived on scene and reported that the smoke had dissipated
and fire units could downgrade to a non-emergency response. A
moment later, 2163 reported that it was a person spinning tires behind the
residence, and that all fire and EMS units could disregard. All units were
back in within 6 minutes of dispatch.

At 11:07 on Wednesday, July 9, Station 264 along with
Station 261 were dispatched for a residential fire alarm activation at 808
Glenshaw Avenue in Shaler Township. (264's District). Caller reported that
his smoke detector keeps activating, unknown reason why. No smoke or fire,
however he wanted the fire department to check the residence. 264 Chief
and Assistant both went to the scene. 264 Truck ruled with a crew of
5. As the Truck was arriving on scene, 264 Assistant reported that is was
a faulty detector on the 3rd floor and that all units could return. All
units were back in service at 11:14.

At 21:37 on Sunday, July 6, 264 Truck along with Station
261, 164 Engine 1, 247 Truck, and 149 RIT were dispatched for a possible
residential structure fire at 2701 Autumnwood Drive in Shaler Township. (261's
District). Caller reported that the basement was on fire and that
evacuation was in progress. They also stated that the fire may be
out. At 21:40, PD arrived on scene and reported that the fire was put out
by the homeowner, that there was a dog cage on fire, and that there was a smoke
condition in the residence. 261 crews proceeded in to assist in
ventilation and all 264 units were back in service at 21:46.

At 19:17 on Saturday, July 5, 264 Truck
along with Stations 263, 262, and 218 were dispatched for a residential fire
alarm activation at 18-B Bethany Drive in Shaler Township. (263's
District). Caller reported hearing either a fire alarm or a CO alarm in
the vacant house next door. It did indeed turn out to be a fire alarm in a
vacant apartment. There was no problem in the apartment and all units were
returned in service at 19:26.

At 08:31 on Tuesday, July 1, Station 264 along with 261
Rescue 3 and 164 Rescue 1 were dispatched for a containment detail preceding a
three vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of Glenn Avenue and
Mount Royal Blvd. in Shaler Township. (264's District). 264 Chief and
Assistant responded to the scene and 264 Chief assumed command. 264 Chief
stated that rescue would be needed to pop a door open, as there was a occupant
still inside one of the vehicles. A few moments later, 264 Chief requested
that the rescues cancel, that they had got the door open. 264 Engine
responded in non-emergency for containment. 264 Engine used one bag of oil
dry and 264 units also assisted in traffic control. All units were back in
service at 09:01.
